Exams

How an exam is conducted

To obtain the Licence as an aircraft maintenance engineer it is necessary to pass specific examinations, regulated as follows: each multiple choice question has 3 alternative answers, of which only one is the correct one; the candidate has an average time of 75 seconds per question. Questions with free answers require the writing of a written answer; the candidate has 20 minutes to answer each question. The grade required to pass the examination of each module must be greater than or equal to 75%.

Certificates

Upon passing each exam, a “Certificate of Recognition” valid in all EASA member states (European Aviation Safety Agency) is issued by AEA.

Exam calendar

To know the dates of the examination sessions it is possible to consult the Calendar or contact the office of the Academy.

Examination location

The exams take place at the AEA headquarters.
